Ryan is a Product Management and Product Marketing Strategist with over 15 years of experience in identifying, developing, and successfully marketing new technology products – products which have generated over a billion in sales and which have been used by millions of people globally. Ryan has worked for companies such as GE, Poynt, Guest-Tek, Evoco, TransCanada, CoolIT and over 40 others, and has been a lead product management consultant for Uncommon since founding the company in 2007. Under Ryan’s leadership Uncommon has consistently delivered exceptional results and customer satisfaction. Ryan brings a rare blend of technical understanding and product marketing to his engagements. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Computers) from Queen’s University.
Jason holds a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering and an MBA in Entrepreneurship & Marketing from the University of Calgary. As a child, he designed board games complete with cards, game pieces, and story lines. When his brother and sister refused to play, he rapidly learned the importance of designing a product for the customer, not the entrepreneur. Since then Jason has been putting his creativity and science skills to the test as a Product Manager and consultant for over 60 technology companies, spanning a wide range of industries including online payments, retail construction management software, medical devices, consumer products and oil & gas software. Jason is a partner at Uncommon Innovation and leads the consulting services team, where he puts customer needs at the helm of market research and product design. Jeff’s first leap of faith into entrepreneurship was a bungee jumping company he started with two friends after university. Starting a business which seeks to drop you from high places with a cord tied to your feet is indicative of Jeff’s fearless pursuit of good ideas. Unsurprisingly, he says the biggest challenge facing entrepreneurs is a crisis of confidence when things don’t go as planned. Jeff has over 10 years of product management experience gained from working for successful technology companies including Circa Enterprises, Acceleware, CoolIT and SMART Technologies. Jeff was responsible for the flagship software product at SMART Technologies and successfully managed the product through multiple release cycles while growing the user base by over 25%. Jeff holds a B.Sc. in Engineering and an MBA from Queens. He is a partner at Uncommon, and current President and CEO of MyHeat.“Ideas are easy.
